Praying for peace, we should all be doing that with all the chaos in the world.
This fair haired blonde in her black hat is doing just that, praying. This was a very inspiring painting to do. I am learning a lot painting these woman, the expressions. Not sure I would want to teach a class on painting people though. Hope you like my work, if you want to know about future classes just email me your first name, email and phone number and I will add you to my monthly email.
I corrected the mouth area and framed this painting in an antique white frame. I like how it turned out. Didn't think a heavy frame would work but I like the final product. Love those floppy hats.
Have been working on paintings of woman in an impressionistic style. Love those hats, I can't wear a hat but I love them. These style paintings are so much fun to do, the expressions, the hair. Will try to do some children shortly but have a couple more women sketched out to paint. The floppy hat below is finished but the Praying woman will take me some time to do her hair and hat.
I am now back on track and finished 2 oil paintings. Both are more impressionistic of women. These are fun, but I have to watch myself as I tend to try to put too much detail in the backgrounds. I love the color and detail of her dress. Looks like a fun thing to do on a warm summer day. The smaller is a woman walking down a street with her shopping
bag in hand.
Sorry folks, I am slacking, I have had this virus that everyone seems to be having, it just wouldn't go away. Also my Grandson plays high school baseball and of coarse I love to watch him play. I found, going to the games and doing my daily stuff was all about the energy I had so my art has been on the back burner, I am now feeling much better and last night I sketched out a few pieces to start on. I am going to try to paint some more impressionist style pieces of people. We will see how it goes. I love the looks of this style but not sure I can accomplish what I want to with it. When I get one done and post maybe I can get some feed back from you all to let me know what you think. In the mean time please visit my website and enjoy what I have done.
Here are a few pictures of the display at the bank, I was impressed with the area for showing off your art and the WACO arts council president is a very wonderful person. They have all the easels, some wall space and tables. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story
